Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 14, 2026 | Last Updated: October 14, 2026
Welcome to DocPixelLab. By accessing or using our website and its client-side utilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the site immediately.
1. Nature of Services & Client-Side Execution
DocPixelLab provides browser-based utilities for document manipulation, image editing, and media conversion. These utilities execute client-side code directly within your web browser using standard web APIs (such as WebAssembly, HTML5 Canvas, and MediaRecorder).
All current core utilities are provided free of charge for personal and professional use, subject to compliance with these Terms.
2. Local Device Resources & Hardware Disclaimers
Because file operations execute on your device's local hardware:
- Resource Consumption: Intensive transformations (such as video compression, multi-page PDF rendering, or very large image manipulations) consume your device's CPU, GPU, battery power, and volatile memory (RAM).
- Hardware Ceilings: Attempting to process files that exceed your device's available memory or browser limits (such as video files exceeding 150 MB on mobile devices or images exceeding browser canvas dimension ceilings) may result in slow performance, tab crashes, or unexpected reloads.
- No Liability for Hardware Strain: DocPixelLab shall not be liable for any device slowdowns, browser crashes, unresponsiveness, or data loss resulting from hardware strain or memory exhaustion during in-browser file processing.
3. Intellectual Property & 100% User Ownership
Your Content Remains Yours: DocPixelLab claims zero ownership, license, copyright, or commercial interest in any files, photographs, text, or documents you load or process through our utilities. You retain full, exclusive intellectual property ownership of your files.
Platform Rights: The visual design, source code, logos, documentation, and user interfaces of DocPixelLab are the intellectual property of the operator and protected by applicable copyright laws.
4. Acceptable Use & Prohibitions
You agree not to:
- Engage in automated scraping or automated high-frequency requests that impair our static edge CDN.
- Bypass, disable, or tamper with security sanitizers, origin headers, or access controls.
- Use the utilities to generate, store, or process content that is unlawful, malicious, or infringing on third-party intellectual property rights.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
DocPixelLab is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every browser version, or that converted documents will achieve 100% formatting parity with desktop publishing suites.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DocPixelLab, its operators, affiliates, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the utilities.
7. Governing Law & Operator Notices
DocPixelLab is operated by an independent individual developer. These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
